Keeping an older Ajax floor in service
Pickering Village is part of Ajax and has a Heritage Conservation District. If your home there still has older wood flooring, show me the boards beyond the damaged patch as well as the patch itself. Board width, direction and the way one room joins the next help me assess a replacement without disturbing sound material.
An older-looking floor is not necessarily original. Tell me about any previous refinishing or additions you know of, and photograph spare boards if you have them. I can assess compatible material and explain where a repair may remain visible; I cannot promise an exact colour or grain match.
